Who we are
Dr. Rachel Tompa earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, where she completed a double major in Human Biology and Environmental Studies, along with a minor in Immunology. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, completing the rigorous four-year program with extensive clinical training. During her time in Toronto, she also obtained certification in Functional Integrated Acupuncture, further expanding her therapeutic skill set.
Upon returning to the Bow Valley, Dr. Tompa was grateful to begin her career alongside a talented team of therapists. After several rewarding years, she launched her practice - Westcore Chiropractic - where she continues to serve her community with dedication and expertise.
Dr. Tompa develops evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that target the root cause of each patient’s concern. She prioritizes a patient-centred approach, taking the time to listen and understand each individual’s unique needs rather than rushing through appointments. With a special interest in sports rehabilitation and chronic pain management, her ultimate goal is to help people return to the activities they love.

A chiropractic adjustment is a hands-on technique where a chiropractor applies controlled force to a specific joint to improve mobility, reduce pain, and support the body’s natural healing processes.
The “cracking” or “popping” sound you may hear during an adjustment is called cavitation. It’s simply the release of gas bubbles from the joint fluid as pressure changes—similar to cracking your knuckles.

Chiropractors complete a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, which includes several years of university education and clinical training. They are licensed professionals regulated by provincial bodies.
